My name is Mike Reynolds.

I do complete fret jobs and fret leveling at a cost much less than that of any repair shop around. A Fender style with a bolt on neck will run about $260 plus cost of materials for the new frets and complete set up. A fret level with set-up is $110. I also do acoustic guitars, bass and wiring on electrics but my main focus is fretwork.

I use Jescar brand fretwire. There are many sizes to choose from. It's by far the best quality and it comes in Nickel Silver, Gold EVO and Stainless Steel. There is an upcharge for the gold and stainless but the wear factor is worth the investment.

I'm a retired machinist with 35 years experience in the trade. I served my apprenticeship at NASA and spent most of my career at SLAC and have been building and repairing guitars for most of my adult life.

Turn around time is usually 3 to 4 days. If you're going to be without a guitar for that time I'll give you a loaner to use while I'm working on yours.

A new aftermarket neck from Warmoth, Allparts or any of the others always needs a good fret level and crowning to play and sound it's very best. The nut slots always have to be adjusted as well. The guitar will ring much clearer and resonate better after it's been properly worked on. Even new guitars will play and sound better with leveled and polished frets.

I can provide references from happy customers. Some work for or own local guitar stores. Many are working musicians. I also have guitars here that show the quality of work you can expect. I guarantee my work 100%.
